Promenade
“A coral ballet in motion-underwater rhythm and reef life in watercolor”
The reef is never still. Even the stillness moves.
Promenade is a portrait of reef life as I experienced it—fluid, synchronized, buzzing with light and tension. Schools of convict tang, surgeonfish, and butterflyfish slip past one another like a living current. This isn’t a snapshot—it’s a rhythm.

This painting is what happens when silence fills with life
Each fish, each shadow, each brushstroke tells a part of the story—woven into the layered, spontaneous dance of the reef.
In watercolor, I worked wet-on-wet to let the reef emerge organically, with layered pigment creating that sense of visual hum. No outlines, no borders—just movement, texture, and light colliding. The coral is not just background; it pulses with its own chaotic poetry.
